Gradebook
Setting up an account, creating a class,
entering students, and entering assignments results in an eGrade Gradebook! The Gradebook
becomes the central focus of the eGrade system.
Note that in this interface you may
access your Class List, Gradebook, Students, Assignments, Reports, and Options. See the
eGrade online help system for further details.
File Tabs
The Gradebook page includes a set of file tabs that allow you the navigate the eGrade
system. The file tabs allow you to edit student records, edit assignment information,
generate reports, and select eGrade options. You can also use the file tabs to return to
the Class List page.
Entering Scores
Click on a students name to enter scores for a particular student. Select an
assignment from the "Score Assigns." drop-down menu to enter scores for a
particular assignment for all students in your class.
Recalculate
Click on the Recalculate button to ensure that any new information is updated on the
gradebook page.
Email
Click on the Email button to send an email message to all students or a select group of
students in your class. You can send mail to one or both email addresses for each student.
You can also send students their passwords and the URL for the class reports web site.
(You must enter email addresses when you enter student record information if you want to
use the email feature.)
Sorting
Click on the "Sort Assigns." Drop-down menu to organize the assignment columns
in your gradebook by name, by date, or by category (if you are using the percentage weight
grading method).
Click on the "Sort Students" drop-down menu to
sort students by last name in ascending order, by last name in descending order, by grade
in descending order, or by grade in ascending order.
Viewing
Click on the "View Assigns." drop-down menu to shift the gradebook page in order
to display a particular assignment column.
Click on the Right Arrow button on the Gradebook page to
view the next page of assignments. Click on the Left Arrow button to view the previous
page of assignments. (The eGrade Options tab will allow you to specify how many assignment
columns to display per page.)
Click on an Assignment button in one of the assignment
columns to view information about that assignment.
