Enter/Edit Assignments by Percentage Weight

This is where you enter your assignments into the eGrade system!

A class graded by Percentage Weight will begin with the interface shown here in Part 1 and end with Part 2.

PART 1: Enter Categories Interface

Part 1. Enter Categories
If you are grading your class by percentage weight, your assignments will be grouped by category. Enter information for each category in the fields provided: Category Title and Category Weight. Click "Submit" to record the new information. You may now enter and submit information for another category. As you add categories, they will be listed on the right side of the Enter Categories page.

When you have finished entering information for all categories, click "Step 4" to move on, or click "Finished" if you wish to view your gradebook. You do not need to enter all categories at this time.

NOTE: The percent total for all of your categories cannot exceed 100%.

Click on a category from the Category list to review, modify or delete information. When you select an assignment, two new buttons are added to the Enter Assignments page: Delete and New Category. After reviewing a record, if you have not made any changes, click on the "New Category" button to clear the form and enter a new record. To modify a record, make the desired changes and click "Submit." To delete a record, click the "Delete" button.

Click "Submit" to record the new information.

Click "Step 2" to return to the "Student Records" page.

PART 2: Enter Assignments Interface

Part 2. Enter Assignments

After you complete the "Enter Categories" section, you will come to this Enter Assignments interface (Part 2).

Select a category from the drop down menu and then enter information for each assignment in the fields provided: Assignment Title, Abbreviation, Point Value, and Assignment Date. Click "Submit" to record the new information. You may now enter and submit information for another assignment. As you add assignments, they will be listed on the right side of the Enter Assignments page.

When you have finished entering information for all assignments, click "Finished" to view your gradebook. You do not need to enter all assignments at this time.

Click on an assignment from the Assignment list to review, modify or delete information. When you select an assignment, two new buttons are added to the Enter Assignments page: Delete and New Assignment.
